Where most spinach needs shade to partial shade, New Zealand spinach thrives in hot weather. It stands proud where other varieties tend to wilt, and dry. Since it is a perennial, warmer climate that can be harvested from this year-round. If you are in a cooler climate, fret not, this can be grown as an annual, in a greenhouse, or in a sunroom.
This does well in containers, raised beds, and traditional gardens. Since this proliferates, you should have plenty to share with neighbors and friends. This is great for salads, stir-fries, smoothies, or baked into quiches. The leaves are sweet when. tender, but can turn bitter when grown to maturity.
