Blueberry Scone Nibbles are made with only 4 ingredients! Buckwheat flour, blueberries, coconut nectar and cinnamon.
Whole food ingredients and a short ingredient list is always our goal.
It took us longer than we hoped it would to get our Blueberry Scone recipe perfect, but we did it and dogs just love it!
Buckwheat is a fruit seed that is related to rhubarb and sorrel and despite having the word “wheat” in its name, has nothing all all to do with wheat. It is grain free and an excellent source of magnesium, manganese, copper and fiber.
Buckwheat has been cultivated for more than 8,000 years. More commonly found in eastern Europe than in the United States, it is in the grass family and often used as a vegetarian protein source.
Blueberries are kind of like a natural multivitamin for your dog. Unlike many other fruits, blueberries are quite low in sugar... and that means they're low in calories. They are loaded with vitamins, especially anti-oxidants and minerals.
Coconut nectar is a natural sweetener derived from the sap of coconut palm trees. It’s a versatile ingredient used in baking, offering a subtle sweetness with a hint of caramel. It is unrefined with a low glycemic index.
Cinnamon has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. It helps with skin allergies and it tastes great!

North Woods Animal Treats was started in the late winter of 2006 in Marlow, NH. During that cold season it became clear that the North Woods Animal Treats family needed better quality, fresher, all natural dog treats. We all have great animals, and they deserve the best treats. They help us live larger, greater lives, and that's what we are all about. We want to provide our pets with the best quality, human grade, tastiest treats we can, while maintaining an ingredient list that is clean, simple, all natural, and with some health benefits thrown in, (while no pets were looking). We think a healthier treat results in a healthier dog, cat. Thank you for the opportunity to tell you a little bit about who we are, our philosophy, and what we are doing. 100% of our products are made and sourced here in the USA. The rigorous testing and controls in this country make our products safer an ensure the highest quality. We also support The Center of Hope, a workshop for challenged adults in Southbridge, MA. They shrink-wrap, label and prepare our products for shipment.
