Number 8 Turquoise Two-Stone Ring - Sterling Silver - Size 8 1/2

About this Product

This two-stone statement ring is made from high-grade natural (not stabilized) turquoise from the Number 8 turquoise mine in Nevada. This mine produced turquoise from 1929 until the 1970s. As it is now depleted, Number 8 turquoise stones are becoming more and more rare and collectible.
The beautiful stones, which I cut and polished myself, are flanked by two hand cast sterling flowers and surrounded by a hand twisted sterling silver rope. They sit on a size 8 1/4 sterling silver band.

Please note that this is handmade item using natural materials and, as such, may contain minor imperfections. That's the beauty of not buying mass-produced jewelry, though -- you get a one-of-a-kind piece! Your new jewel will be packaged in a muslin gift pouch and inside its own box.

I include a silver polishing cloth with each sterling silver piece of jewelry so you can keep it as shiny and beautiful as the day it came home to you!

Enjoy!

Meet the Maker

Hi! I'm Wendy. Sterling silver and turquoise remind me of my childhood. I come from a cowboy family and my dad and maternal grandfather competed in rodeos all around the West. I loved the silver cowgirl jewelry that my mom, grandmothers, and aunts all wore and am darn lucky to have some of those vintage pieces in my personal collection.

As a jewelry designer, those memories infuse my own creations. You'll see a lot of turquoise pieces here at oaktownwendy, but I love working with all the stones that nature provides (and a few man-made ones, too). Sustainability is important to me and I strive to include recycled elements in many of my designs: recycling my own silver scraps into decorative embellishments; using broken china plates as well as surfite and fordite "stones" that are byproducts of other manufacturing processes; and turning well-loved cowboy belts into brand new cowgirl earrings and bracelets.

Come on in and look around!
