Meet the Maker

I'm Michelle. I have been making and crafting and creating things since I was young. My passions run from beading to lampworking, creating handbound journals and custom envelopes, journaling and writing fiction (I'm a self-published author working on my third supernatural suspense novel), and photography (among other things). I love colors and textures and crafting with friends, working with my hands and making something beautiful and functional. One of my quirks is SHINY OBJECT SYNDROME! I can be totally engrossed in a project when something shiny catches my eye. Inevitably, I'm soon neck-deep exploring that new technique or craft and trying to figure out how to include that with all the other things I love doing.

In the late 90's I started working with beads. I started off by adding them to cards and handbound journals I was making. Then, I expanded into jewelry and began to explore all the endless possibilities. I am always exploring new techniques and mediums - there are so many exciting things to learn and work with! You will find a variety of items here; I use only quality products. I hope that you are able to find something that calls out to you. If so, indulge yourself!

Thank you.

How it’s Made

Olive is my favorite shade of green! The Picasso coating on these glass beads always makes me smile. I love the way the the Yellow and White Agate accentuates the gold tones.

The teardrop shape was thoughtfully chosen to highlight the graduated design of the beads, with the larger bead at the base adding a striking focal point.

The wire teardrop base, or frame, was formed with hand tools and then hammered for design and, also, to work-harden it. Each bead was then wrapped in place one at a time using a crisscross technique. A classic gold plated ear wire was added.
