This cool pendant features an orange calcite cabochon that has been wrapped in a cage style wrap that is made with copper wire. In order to make this piece, I took 2 pieces of 28 gauge round copper wire and twisted them together on each side to make sure that the point of the stone fit in the bottom. Once that was done, I would alternate the wires and twist them until I got to the top of the stone to make the unique cage effect. The bail is done in a similar fashion by twisting and alternating the wires. This piece is handmade in Minnesota.
Orange calcite is thought to boost creativity, confidence, and energy. Many believe that wearing orange calcite with help them amplify all of the good in their lives.
Orange calcite is believed to resonate with the sacral and solar plexus chakras.
This piece measures 2.25" tall and 5/8" across and will come with a 21" braided black cord.
This piece is not oxidized but could be. The oxidization process is done by putting the piece in a mixture of liver of sulfur and water. I leave the piece until for 30-45 seconds and then I pull it out and clean it with soap, water, and a piece of steel wool. I make sure not to scratch the stone when doing this.
