Necklace Description: This necklace is made with a center banded agate gemstone bead that is in the colors of black, brown, orange, yellow, and cream. The black and the brown circle about the bottom of the gemstone, and as the bands of the agate work their way to the top, the colors change to cream, orange, and just a bit of yellow. This bail on this center gemstone is wire wrapped in gold plated wire. At the bottom of the gemstone I have wire wrapped a loop, and into the loop I have wire wrapped a round orange banded agate gemstone bead. The pendant bead is connected to a necklace with round banded agate gemstone beads, oval amber colored crystal beads with a rainbow finish that shine with a bit of purple, and small gold plated beads. The necklace closes with a gold plated toggle clasp.
Earring Description: I have also made a pair of earrings to go with this necklace out of the round orange banded agate gemstone bead, the amber crystal, and some of the gold plated beads.
Measurements:
- The banded agate gemstone center bead is 40mm long by 26mm wide.
- In inches the gemstone is 1 9/16 inches long by 1 inch wide.
- The gold wire wrapped bail and the agate bead dangling at the bottom make this center pendant bead 2 1/8 inches long.
- The round banded agate beads are 6mm in diameter.
- The amber oval crystals are 6mm long by 4mm wide.
- The necklace is 20 inches long.
- The pendant bead will hand down an additional 2 1/8 inches.
- The earrings are 1 ½ inches long, including the gold plate fish hook style ear wire.

And...yes, in the pic my readers do have the sticker showing the strength. I have them in different strengths throughout the house. I leave them on the readers so that if I happen on to an older pair with a lower strength, I can look at the sticker and not think I am going blind!
In this picture I am making dainty little necklaces and hair bows for my granddaughter. I make my jewelry in the formal dining room. My husband said we should not have bought a house with a formal living and dining room, because we do not use them. Well, I am using them now!!! I have foil down on my table to protect it...and it forms to the table so it worked well, and rubber gloves on so I do not burn my fingers while making the bows! Just in case you were wondering...my mouth is open cuz I am talking.
