Orangita (F1 hybrid) seeds:
Spanglish for "little orange", the Orangita is an extremely attractive mini pumpkin. The orange is vibrant and almost glowing. This was developed by crossing the jack-be-little pumpkin with the acorn squash. This pumpkin has a smooth surface with dramatic deep ribbing. These are great to use as ornamentals or to hollow out and use as serving bowls for Fall soups and bisques.
Orangitas have intermediate resistance to powdery mildew and produce excellent yields of 1 to 1-1/2 lb. fruit They are a semi-bush variety and pair well with the midnight and Gooligan pumpkins if you are looking to make an orange, black, and white display.
Oragitas have a maturity date of 90-100 days. These do well in larger containers, but will also thrive in raised beds or when sown in rows or mounds. These are also great for the trellis.
