The yellow and green curves of the hand-guided, quilted fabrics were specifically chosen to complement the original abstract painting that is incorporated as part of this one-of-a-kind tote bag. The painting has become part of the bag itself, and is echoed by the curves of the quilting patterns laid over even more curved fabric. Colors and fabric and shapes were curated specially to reflect the painting, titled "Curves," by the artist who created the bag and the painting. Only the most discerning who see this unique combination will be driven to have it for themselves, knowing they need to feel the paints swirling over the canvas, and touch the quilting thread that follows those same haunting curves the artist was driven to create.
Inside is another surprise in the distinctly feminine lining fabric chosen specifically for this painting and accompanying quilted background. Lisa's signature yellow satin pocket is the only pop of color in the lovely, flowing feminine lining of this original piece of art that is made to be used, to be functional, to be part of your life.

Meet the Maker
Lisa Hannon designs and creates innumerable items - she sews, paints, quilts, crochets, bakes, and writes among other activities, and is in the process of stitching her life back together after finding out she has an autoimmune disease, among other health issues. She can be found on YouTube with a search for @Whilst2024. She's a disabled vet creating and living in the Arkansas River Valley with her current and final husband and a seriously deranged grey cat named Egg.
How it’s Made
The artist, owner and creator Lisa Hannon, is in the process of creating four one-of-a-kind bags, each one built around her original abstract paintings. Each will include fabrics she has gathered from local resources, including thrift shops, to exactly suit her definition of the depth of emotion each painting brings to life.
These aren't just "designer" bags, they're created out of a depth of vision that only a true maker understands. They may be copied by someone else, but they will never be created again.
