About this Product

We have a blue wool bodice with cream stomacher and plaid/tartan skirt in a women's size 10 (first picture) ready to ship. All other sizes and styles are only available as a custom order, which takes about six weeks. We will send a measurement list when you order. Please contact us for a price estimate if you want other fabric, styles, or details.

These 18th century caraco jacket/peplum bodices are inspired by costumes worn by "Outlander" characters. Worn through Europe and the American colonies in the 18th century. They can close in front with grommets or tiny buttonholes, or hooks, or a hidden zipper, or little hidden rings for laving instead of grommets. Please contact me for these preferences.

The full costume at this price included a bum roll, cotton petticoat, wool skirt, wool bodice, and heavily boned stomacher. We can do any of these pieces individually. Bodices can touch/close in front instead of having a separate stomacher, and you can choose other fabrics at different price points. We can also do these as an open front bodice with attached overskirt, which costs a bit more for the extra overskirt fabric. Adding ruffles, extra skirts, rouching, stomacher embroidery, etc. are available for a higher price.

Some of these have a little bum ruffle in back instead of a peplum all the way around, like the famous "Chocolate Girl" painting, Bree's wedding dress, and many of Jenny Murray's bodices.

Please contact me before ordering so we can be sure you get your preferred style and fabric choices.
