These longer turquoise stick earrings are wire wrapped with oxidized copper wire and are accented with robin's egg blue chalk turquoise beads at the bottom of the sticks. They are 2 1/4 inches long from the top of the copper ear wires. I love the look of oxidized copper with bright blue of the chalk turquoise.

How it’s Made
I made these earrings using 16 gauge copper wire to make 1 1/2 inch copper sticks. I hammered the end of the sticks to hold the 8 x 6 mm chalk turquoise rondelle beads in place. The chalk turquoise rondelles are capped with copper bead caps. I wrapped 26 gauge copper wire around the sticks. Then I added 24 gauge copper wire on top of the 26 gauge wire in a swirl pattern. Next I oxidized them in liver of sulfur and polished them to reveal the texture.
