Thanks for shopping with me! I started “RyRy&TheBug” in 2023. The name is a nod to my children, Lauren and Ryan. As children, I encouraged both of them to pursue their dreams, and now - as adults- they are encouraging me to do the same! From shell art and children’s pieces to high gloss lacquer finishes and embellished resin inlay, each item is created (or recreated) out of love for RyRy & the Bug?
RyRy & The Bug
Meet the Maker
Thank you so much for checking out RyRy & The Bug!
Each piece is handmade, with love. Most of my items are unique, vintage pieces that I have recreated with a twist-such as a rocking horse transformed into a zebra, for instance. Throughout the shop you will also see that I love to decoupage with vintage fabrics, and jewels, as well as create beautiful pieces of shell art for the home.
My children, Ryan and Lauren, were known in our home as "RyRy" and "Bug". When they were little, we would spend hours on crafts and artwork. Those were great times, so naming the shop after them made perfect sense. Now that they are grown, I am channeling my own creative outlet; pairing my love of unique designs with the restoration of fabulous vintage finds. I believe it is the perfect combination for beautiful, sustainable items that will complement your home, make wonderful gifts, and hopefully delight the giver and receiver!
I am also open to creating a custom piece for you, if you have your own vision for an item!
