Looking for a simple, easy to assemble craft that makes a big impact? Use just 1 sheet of 8.5 x 11 card stock, 1 sheet of vellum or acetate, and your electronic die cutting machine to make this beginner friendly lantern SVG! A PDF is also included for printing and cutting by hand. Possibilities for use include birthday parties, graduation parties, bridal showers, Christmas decorations, and many other special occasions.
The lantern is sized to fit on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper, with vellum window panes cut on separate paper. The lantern is about 6.5 inches tall and each side measures approximately 2.5 inches wide. Use sturdy paper for the lantern, such as foil paper or stiff card stock.
This file has been test cut using a Silhouette Cameo. If you are using the basic (free) Silhouette Studio software, it will not allow you to open an svg file. I am not legally allowed to sell studio files. For this reason, I have included a silhouette studio file at no additional cost to you. It is a free gift with purchase of the svg file.

This file has been designed using a computer aided drafting program. Using a Silhouette Cameo, I test cut each design to ensure accuracy and ease of assembly. The model is made of 65 lb foil card stock, vellum, and precision craft glue.
