About this Product
This beautiful bead embroidery pendant offers an antique feel to your wardrobe that can be worn year-round! The beautiful gemstone teardrop stone is embellished with glass pearls and beads, a beautiful hue of Lavendar crystals, and finished off with a crystal briolette drop. The pendant hangs on a beaded herringbone-style chain that is beaded with smoky colored silver metal beads that measures 16 inches long and features a toggle clasp closure. I've included a beaded extender piece to add to the chain for added length if desired and a photo of how to connect the two is shown in the photos. The back of the pendant is stitched to a backing of light grey ultra suede and a photo of the backing is also included.

How it’s Made
Bead embroidery is a style of thread art that involves sewing various kinds of beads to fabric or cloth. What makes it amazing is its ability to be used as an expression of the self. You’re basically painting with beads! Bead embroidery involves stitching 2-4 beads in a line and sewing back through them with a needle and thread, creating a stich to hold them in place on a stiff piece of material called beading foundation. It's much like one step forward and two steps back, making bead embroidery a very meticulous, intricate way to create beautiful patterns for pendants and other decorative pieces. Once your design is stitched onto beading foundation, it is then sewn onto ultra suede or other soft material used for finishing off the back of your piece. Finally, all the layers are then sewn together by a beaded border. From here, it is easy to bead a loop to attach to a chain, leather rope, fabric, or anything else you can hang your piece on.
