This pendant necklace is sure to bring fun, summer vibes to your summertime wardrobe! Rather than hanging this beautiful handmade ceramic pendant on a chain, I chose to string small, disc-shaped beads known as heishi beads to complete this necklace. Heishi beads come in all types of finishes with heishi beads made from polymer clay being sturdy and strong. They are not prone to breakage, maintain their bright vibrant colors and are not prone to discoloration, making them perfect to wear at the beach or pool. The ceramic pendant alone measures 2 inches long with the total length of the necklace being 19 inches long. It features a lobster claw closure, and an extender chain is included for added length, if desired.

How it’s Made
What are heishi beads? The term comes from the Santo Domingo Native Americans in the American Southwest, where heishi means "shell". They were traditionally made from organic shells or ground and polished stones such as turquoise and coral before the use of metal in jewelry making. Today, heishi bead are made from many different materials and the polymer clay variety of heishi bead is gaining popularity in jewelry making due to the steadfastness of their vibrant colors which are not prone to discoloration, making them the perfect choice for wearing at the beach and pools.

Item(s) must be returned in their original condition in order to receive a full refund.
OTHER THINGS TO KNOW:
Most, if not all, of my pieces are made with glass beads that can be easily broken or chipped.
Please be mindful to avoid dropping your jewelry or knocking it against hard surfaces as I use glass beads in most all of my work and are breakable.
My jewelry sets are sold as sets. If you do not wear earrings, they can make beautiful & thoughtful gifts!
Silver metal components can tarnish over time, or when exposed for long periods of time to the elements. I provide complimentary anti-tarnish tabs and cleaning cloths in all orders to help keep your silver components looking like new. Please know none of my metal components are treated in any way to prevent common discoloration.
