How it’s Made
Sheet glass is hand-cut into rectangular strips that are arranged/layered and fused together in a high-temperature kiln. Subsequent kiln firings are accomplished to slump/drape the glass over ceramic molds to shape it as desired. Other firings may be involved over a span of a week to add shapes or personalization to the art glass pieces per customer request. This rainbow bridge is made of six 3/8" wide strips of colored transparent US-made Bullseye® glass topped with a layer of clear glass. A paw print (iron oxide decal technique) is fused into the glass surface at one end of the bridge along with the pet name below it (optional).
