Each piece I create is made from carefully selected premium hardwoods, chosen for their beauty and durability. My process is meticulous, ensuring that even our most playful seasonal pieces carry a sense of refinement and craftsmanship. How It’s Made
Every Personalized Margarita Salt Board is crafted with a balance of precision and artistry, ensuring a product that stands out in both form and function.
We start with locally sourced hardwoods, selecting only the finest cherry for the main board. What makes this piece even more special? The cherry we use comes from a friend’s tree, making each board uniquely tied to a story. To complement the cherry, we incorporate a removable end-grain walnut cutting board, a luxurious element rarely seen in similar products. Not only does the end-grain construction add a refined aesthetic, but it also helps maintain the sharpness of your knife while offering the added benefit of easy cleanup—simply remove the cutting board and wipe it down without having to dump out your salt.
The crafting process begins with hand-selecting and milling the wood to highlight its natural beauty. After initial milling, we carefully glue the pieces together and then re-mill them to ensure precision. Next, we perform pre-sandingbefore the CNC cutting process, which carves out the salt well and cutting board reliefs with impeccable accuracy. Once the CNC work is complete, we re-sand the board to smooth any edges before moving to laser engraving, where the fine details, including our hidden margarita recipe, are etched with precision. Finally, we conduct a final sandingand apply our premium finish.
We take great pride in our finishing process. Unlike mass-produced alternatives that rely on synthetic food-safe finishes, we use a hand-blended, organic fractionated coconut oil and beeswax finish made in the USA. This finish nourishes and protects the wood while maintaining its natural beauty and ensuring it remains safe for food contact. We have moved away from mineral oil in favor of 100% organic materials, making this piece an even more thoughtful addition to your home bar.
Before any board is shipped, it undergoes a rigorous quality check. Our Chief Sanding Officer (and co-owner), personally conducts a "feel test" on every single piece, ensuring that it meets our exacting standards. If she wouldn’t buy it herself, it doesn’t leave our shop.
We also strive for sustainability wherever possible, carefully selecting our materials and minimizing waste. While we love working with reclaimed wood, we choose not to use it for food-contact surfaces to ensure absolute safety.
Every board we create is more than just a decoration—it’s decor. A statement piece that blends craftsmanship, functionality, and a touch of class, making it the perfect addition to any refined home bar setup.
Shop Policies
1. Shipping & Processing Times
• All items are handcrafted to order. Standard processing time is 1 week before shipping.
• Custom orders may require additional time, which will be communicated upon ordering.
• We ship via UPS/USPS with tracking and insurance included.
• Customers will receive tracking information once their order has shipped.
2. Returns & Exchanges
• Due to the handcrafted nature of our work, all sales are final.
• If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos of the damage so we can assist in filing a claim or arranging a replacement.
• We do not accept returns on custom or personalized pieces unless there is a defect or damage.
3. Custom Orders
• We love bringing unique visions to life! Custom furniture and decor orders are welcomed.
• A 50% non-refundable deposit may be required for custom orders over $100, with the remaining balance due before shipping.
• Design changes after purchase may affect cost and production time.
4. Cancellations
• Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund.
• After 24 hours, cancellations may not be possible as work begins on your order.
5. Care Instructions (Include in Listings Too!)
• Hand-wash only. Avoid soaking in water or placing in the dishwasher.
• Reapply food-safe oil periodically to maintain the wood’s quality (for kitchen items).
• Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight and extreme humidity changes to preserve longevity.
