Handmade pair of Philippine Ironwood Hardwood Earrings.

Xanthostemon verdugonianus, commonly known as mangkono or Philippine ironwood, is a species of plant in the family Myrtaceae. It is endemic to the islands of the Visayas, Palawan, and northeastern Mindanao. It is valued for its extremely durable and heavy timber.

Earrings are finished with our two step natural oil finish to highlight the species unique grain patterns and colors as well as to protect the wood from moisture.  No stains or dyes are used, these are the natural colors of the wood.

Earring are assembled using Black Titanium (Grade 1 Commercially Pure Titanium) completely hypoallergenic findings and jump rings to help alleviate any potential issues in people with sensitive skin.

How it’s Made

These earrings are first rough shaped on a belt grinder and then hand sanded to final shape.
