About this Product
I was once asked if I made candle holders for pillar candles, so I got some silicone baking pans and did lots of experiments. After many attempts, this is one of the results. I hand-poured cement (I use a mixture of cement and gypsum), and then I painted this pretty mandala in Pinks and Reds.
This holder is 6 inches in diameter
the space for the pillar candle is just under 4 inches in diameter, and the candle modeled in the picture is 3 inches in diameter.
It is approximately 1 inch thick
I have sealed it with a sealer that is Earth friendly and no resin was used on this piece, as you know resin is a form of plastic and will melt when it becomes too warm, which doesn't make for a good candle holder.
Care Instructions: Super easy, wipe with a damp cloth! Do NOT put it in a dishwasher, that would be very bad for the piece and your dishwasher, just avoid that altogether and get a damp paper towel and wipe it off, that's it!
The Candle is not included, it was only to show the use for this piece, however, you can use a regular pillar candle, an LED pillar candle or you can even use it for a trinket tray!
I love how this turned out, and if others like it, I just might make some more!

Meet the Maker
Hello! I'm River, I've always been a bit artsy and eccentric in my flower child ways. I love creating pieces that can be used in our every day lives that bring a sparkle of joy and color to the day. I have been practicing my art since I was very young, but only as a hobby until the last few years. I love to express my creativity and although my art isn't everyone's cup of tea, there are many that really enjoy it. I have been an Accountant for 40 years now, and now I sell my art that I spend all my free time making, with my senior dog Phyllis napping next to me. I hope you enjoy it!

How it’s Made
The materials used are cement, acrylic paint, and an Earth-friendly sealer.
A lot of patience, these dots are pretty small, but it was a labor of love. All in all, it took me about two weeks to create this item from scratch as I had to figure out a vessel to use and how to get it to be round and the size I was aiming for, then curing, painting, allowing for time for the paint to dry, finishing touches and top dots, then time to dry completely before sealing with the sealer that I use.
It was a labor of love and I think it turned out really well. Sometimes I look at the art that I've made and it fills my heart with joy telling myself, "Wow I can't believe I made this, it's so pretty and came out so well." This is one of those pieces, I love how it turned out!
