Meet the Maker
From a small farming community in California, Jazmin came to the big city of Long Beach, CA to further her education in art and experience of life. She attended Cal State Long Beach where she received a BFA in Ceramics and is now living the dream of teaching and sharing pottery with students of every age as well as concentrating on her own practice and growth. Everything hand made by Jaz is created with love and she hopes that when you drink, eat or enjoy the sight of her works of art that you also feel the love within the piece and share that love in your home and with the world around you.
How it’s Made
This handmade ceramic spoon rest dish was created out of a white clay and fired overnight once to harden. It was then painted with layers of glazes creating the pink, blue and white hues. It is then fired a second time overnight to melt the glaze onto the piece.
