For a restful night's sleep, it is suggested you block light sensory. I can attest to the difference in a night's sleep! I normally use a sleeping mask but there have been times that I didn't feel like finding (I have cats that steal! ) my mask. There is a difference!! Even though I am one of those that sleep with the tv on, or maybe because I do, I really need the mask.
It started way back when I worked midnights - the early 2000s. I have upper windows ( called dead lights ) in my bedroom. At night, it isn't much of a problem. But try sleeping during the day in the summer! By the end of the first week, I was dead on my feet. A co-worker suggested a sleeping mask. She had been using one for years.
I had to search the luggage department to find one! It just wasn't something many people used back then. The options were black satin or hmmm, black satin. It was simply all there was.
By that Christmas, I had created a pattern and made a special one for each of my co-workers. That was 2003 and the pattern has evolved a great deal since.
The mask is machine washable and machine dryable. I clean mine regularly. The top is cotton fabric with a satin against the face. I have a light layer of cotton batting inside.
The dimensions are: mask 8 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches tall with the adjustable elastic fitting a head 18" and up - it stretches to 30" when I measured. Now that is the circumference of the entire mask, not just the length of elastic. The elastic has a slider for adjustment.

I live in a smaller town in lower Michigan. I started sewing at 8, crocheting at 10 and have tried almost every type of craft once, at least. Ok, maybe not all of them, but I have learned a great deal in my over 60 years.
I love to create. Even more, I love when something I make - makes someone happy. I hope something I made can make you happy.

How it’s Made
Each mask is made with the layer against your skin being satin, next is a layer of batting for just a bit of weight and the top layer is pretty print fabric. Each mask has an adjustable elastic strap for comfort and better fit.
I make each one with a machine embroidery design that I created. It has been refined over 20 years to be as comfortable as possible. The last detail is hand stitched by me.
Please remember that print fabric looks different in small pieces. Different sections will be cut each time, so each mask will show different characters/things from the fabric.

I will not say no returns or refunds. I will say that if you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact me. If we agree upon a return, all shipping costs will be deducted from the refund - even if originally the shipping was free. I'm sorry, but I cannot refund any portion of monies that I had to use toward shipping.
Any customized pieces, will have a 30% loss deduction. That is to help defray the loss of materials.
