About this Product
This pendant consists of a 32 x 14 mm rectangular brown plume agate grooved cabochon and set in a handmade silver-plated setting. The raw stone was found in near Alpine - Marfa, Texas and cut, polished and then the silver-plated wire wrap setting was made around the grooved cabochon. The setting is our original design and features an oversized bail which will accommodate most necklace chains. The cabochon has varying shades of coppery-brown with translucent/transparent agate.
This simple modern pendant would look great with anything from denim to more formal attire. Think a white t-shirt and with khakis!
We take great pride in our cabochons. We personally make each cabochon in a process which takes 2-3 hours of cutting, grinding, and polishing the stone. The top of the cabochon is polished in at least 8 steps and the bottom at least 7 steps. We cut the stones to for the best patterns and colors then optimize the polish of the stones. We feel this produces a superior cabochon. The wire wrapped setting takes another 1-2 hours.

How it’s Made
We collected the raw agate in the Big Bend region of Texas. We cleaned, cut then polished the agate. We grooved the sides of the polished cabochon to accommodate the frame wire of the wire wrapped setting. Finally, we made the wire wrapped setting using two different types of sterling silver wire.
Everything is American-made, including the sterling silver wire!
