Meet the Maker
Our shop offer creations from one very separate medium. This shop focuses on the polymer clay art created by Elaine Price. She has been working in PC for over 10 years and loves the endless possibilities the medium offers, from jewelry to wall decor to functional yet beautiful pieces like bowls, vases and bottles.
Michelle Stark is Native American and has been beading for over 25 years. She works both on and off loom to create amazing jewelry, as well as accessories such as belts, hatbands, keychains and much more., which are available through our other venues.
Both Elaine and Michelle have grown up sons and currently also have Tucker,, a very dignified older gentleman Lab mix and Cisco, otherwise known as Outlaw Cisco Jack, rescue puppy who now has a very happy home, as well as Bebop the blue and white parakeet.

How it’s Made
For this piece, fairly thick slices of a polymer clay butterfly wing cane were placed on a 3 inch round piece of black clay. The cane was created by combining several small canes into a butterfly wing shaped cane or log. Each section of wing-the black and yellow outer rim, the blue, white, yellow and red inner sections- is a separate cane. The back and “frame” were created by stacking layers of black and yellow clay, then cutting into sections and laying them over the back of the piece and bringing them up over the edge. The piece was then oven baked.
