About this Product

These earrings are polymer clay with faux wood, center is filled with iridescent color and circles encompassed with sterling silver beads sterling silver French ear wires and rings.

Made with sterling silver and polymer clay. I love the look of these modern geometric faux wood earrings with iridescent fill.  Despite being big these are comfortable and very light weight.

The photo of earrings on are not taken on an actual/live model, but the scale of earrings to model photo are life size and to scale.

These earrings measure approximately 2" (52mm) to top of sterling ear wires by  1.4"(37mm) width, backs also have a fun black and white pattern with makers mark.

Creating unique jewelry and art one piece at a time

I started creating jewelry in college, at The Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where I majored in Crafts, Jewelry/Metal being my main focus. My jewelry design won scholarships and awards throughout college. I graduated in 1985. After college my husband, Jeff Hall, and I moved to Loudon County, Virginia and started renovating what is now Silverwood Farm and Studio. Silverwood combines Jeff Hall’s sculpture studio, my jewelry and art business and was a premier pinto sporthorse breeding farm, which I'm now retired from after a bout of breast cancer.

My work combines precious metals, polymer clay, stones, plastics, glass or whatever shiny object catches my eye. My designs are contemporary, combining both organic and geometric forms, usually with unusual and colorful stones, glass or found materials. I consider each one of my pieces a little piece of fine art. I like making pieces that are different and unique but still very wearable. The majority of my pieces are pendants, necklaces, and earrings, though I do occasionally make other items. I enjoy exploring, working and combining many mediums with my numerous techniques.

In 2006 I received my PMC® (Precious Metal Clay®) Certification. Over the years I have won and been a finalist in many design and jewelry competitions, including The Saul Bell Design Competition, NICHE and my work has been featured in books and magazines. I strive always to improve on my designs and skills and to make jewelry and other items that are creative, unusual, elegant and fun to wear/use.
