About this Product
This is a large leather key fob featuring my drawing of the Portland Head lighthouse in Maine. The drawing was laser etched into thick vegetable tanned genuine leather. I used a gelcoat stain and finished it with an acrylic sealer. The one shown has antique brass hardware. This large fob is designed to act as a shield between your keys and your leg. For longer life of the image make sure the image side is facing your leg and the keys on the back side. I make these in batches of ten so the leather grain will vary from the photo. I also have gold, silver, and black hardware available. These can be personalized with custom text for $2 extra.

How it’s Made
I draw out a sketch on paper and then use Adobe Illustrator to refine the design. From there it goes to Lightburn and is redrawn to better etch with the laser. I use leather hand tools to prepare the leather for the finish. Then I hand rub the leather with a gelcoat stain and an acrylic sealer. Lastly, I use hand tools such as punches and pliers to install any hardware.
