About this Product
11"X14" Poster of my exhibition Equali-tea: Suffragist Tea Cozies in Redwork.
This poster features all 42 New York state suffragists in the exhibition at The Folklife Galleries at Crandall Public Library in Glens Falls, NY (2020-2021). Signed by the artist. I researched, designed, and hand embroidered all 42 portraits to celebrate the centennial of the passage of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution: "The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex." The tea cozies were then photographed before being placed on display. Poster is signed and includes an exhibition flyer & a poster guide with biographies of all 42 suffragists. Limited run of 100 posters. Suffragists include: Lucy P. Allen (1851–1946), Mary S. Anthony (1827–1907), Susan B. Anthony (1820–1906), Susan M. Chesebrough Bain (1854–1937), Dr. Annetta E.
