About this Product

My regular round pot holders have two layers of Insulbright heat-resistant batting, and four layers of cotton fabric! They measure approximately 7-1/2", and are quilted with either a meandering pattern or a straight-line pattern. Each one has a hanging loop at the top.

When you receive it (or them, if you're buying a pair), you may be surprised that it feels a little bit thin, but all SIX LAYERS are compressed inside them. Have you ever bought a pot holder that was so thick and stiff that it wasn't very flexible, making it more difficult to securely grip a hot pan? I don't care for that, and I figure other people probably feel the same. I made these pot holders to be both pretty AND useful, and have sold hundreds since I designed the pattern in 2012. They're all I use in my own kitchen. :-)

These pot holders don't need any special care. Just throw them in the washer, then pop them in the dryer. Done! Before they're washed the first time, you'll hear a slight crinkly sound when you use them. This is the Insulbright. The "crinklies" will pretty much disappear after the first couple of washings.

Because of the Insulbright's metallic layer, these pot holders are NOT MICROWAVE SAFE. Please do not put them inside a microwave while it's running.

I'm not the best photographer in the world (don't I wish!), so if any of the pot holders look out-of-round in the picture, they're not actually that way in person. They really are round. :-)

About Me: All of my handmade items are created by me in lovely and historic Chickamauga, Georgia, where I've been doing local craft fairs for over a decade. I'm super-picky about the quality of the materials I use, and my workmanship. If some aspect of an item doesn't suit me, I won't sell it. The vast majority of my items are my own design.

Allergens, Safety, and Other Notes: My home is non-smoking, and although I do have cats, they're not allowed near my fabric or my sewing room. All items are intended for ages 3 and up. Please remember that different monitors can show colors differently. I do check my photos on two separate monitors to make sure they're as accurate as possible.

Shipping: I ship within the U.S. only, and packages go out via USPS within one business day of your cleared payment (excludes weekends and holidays). All packages include a tracking number.

Returns: If you're not happy with your purchase, I do accept returns within 30 days of the purchase date. Please send me a message so that we can arrange the return. If the problem was caused by me (i.e. wrong item sent), I will pay the return shipping, otherwise, the buyer is responsible for return shipping. Returned items must be in the same condition as sent. Should your item become lost or arrived damaged, again, please send me a message and I'll get it taken care of right away. :-)

Custom Orders: Time and fabric permitting, I'm happy to make something special for you and list it for you. Generally speaking, the custom item must be identical in style and size to an item I already make. For example, time doesn't permit me to design a whole different style of change purse, but I'll be happy to make you a change purse like the ones I already make, but in another fabric that I already have on-hand. If fabric must be ordered, please note that the price of the item may vary, depending on the cost of the fabric. Fabric prices can be all over the place, unfortunately. Custom orders must be paid in advance.

As always, thanks so much for shopping with me!

Meet the Maker

Hi there! I'm Lisa, and I live in beautiful Chickamauga, Georgia, just across the state line from Chattanooga, TN. I've been sewing ever since I was old enough to pick up a needle and thread, taught by my beloved Granny (grandmother) and Mammaw (great-grandmother). I've been doing local craft fairs and farmer's markets for over a decade, and am thrilled to offer some of my items online. Hope you find something you love! :-)

How it’s Made
