About this Product
A small crossbody hand bag that is made out of hand woven fabric and natural cork fabric. The weaving is done with cotton yarn and the interior is lined with yellow cotton fabric. It features a zipper closure and an interior slip pocket and two straps. One is an adjustable crossbody strap that can be removed and replaced with the wristlet strap.
This bag is a one of a kind and would make a lovely gift.

Meet the Maker
Hi, my name is Dawn and I LOVE to make beautiful things. My mother was a maker who inspired and encouraged me. She taught me to sew and knit. I enjoyed being able to make clothing that was uniquely my own. I dabbled in crochet, embroidery, basket weaving and more. After 27 years of making custom swimwear; I decided to focus on all the other creative things I love to do. Fabric dying has become a way for me to create unique fabrics that I can turn into beautiful accessories and home goods. Weaving is another way to create one of a kind fabric.

How it’s Made
This purse began by weaving the fabric out of yarn from my stash. I wanted it to be stripes and look summery. That informed my color choices. I wove until my ball of white yarn ran low. Deciding what I wanted to make from that weave took some time. And eventually I settle this crossbody bag. The rest was done on my sewing machine.
