About this Product
As promised, I'm back from my adventures as a craft show vendor this past weekend with a few new goodies to add over the course of this week, with more on the way as I get them finished. The weather here is somewhat less than warm and cozy, but I'll be doing my best to get good pictures for you as quickly as possible. (I do my photography outside since the high peaks of my vintage roof and the stunning antique gold hammered glass windows of this old church I call home are not good helpers for great indoor lighting!)
For your consideration today, here is a reimagined combination of gingerbread treasures from the spirits of Christmases past-two previous items combined in a different way to create a new for 2024 version of this yummy grubby electric candle lamp you can use to add a warm & welcoming glow to your classic farmhouse home this Christmas season. Measuring approx. 11”T X 6”W (+/- 1"), it would be easy to combine with any of my other pieces to save a few pennies on shipping! Coated and coated with a magical mixture of exotic spices and such, this old-fashioned treasure has a backdrop of premium wispy pine greens with pip berries. On the front is a primitive gingerbread cookie which I've carefully handcrafted from antique (circa 1920's) German linen fabric, that I dye myself and grubby to primfection. Ginger has faceted black crystal bead eyes and rusty jingle bells on his chest. He wears a homespun scarf trimmed with a brown wooden button. I made a well textured little gingerbread treat from polymer clay for him to hold, and I know you'll LOVE it, since it looks good enough to eat! The INCLUDED wispy silicone bulb will create a cheerful greeting on any entryway table or next to your tiered tray kitchen decor. It is a versatile gift or keeper, sure to please wherever your muse inclines. If you have to plug in below or behind a cupboard or dresser, you can easily keep it plugged in and turn it off after the first adventure by simply unscrewing the bulb-I sold these lamps for nearly 20 years before I figured THAT one out, LOL!
All of my items are available across multiple platforms-some online and several in-person and all are sold first come, first served. I have only a few of each item this year and they have to be distributed across more venues than I have done in the last 5 years. I am using antique/vintage supplies for this item, and they are by their nature finite. If you love this item, please consider making your purchase when you see it to avoid disappointment!
Fabric/quilts/trimmings with an indication of "vintage" or "antique" are NOT new; therefore, they may have wear, uneven color, small holes, and other age-appropriate imperfections. I make every effort to use the best parts of any fabrics, but they are seldom pristine. All of my fabric items are sewn completely around and a slot is cut into the back piece, which is NEW fabric, for turning and stuffing. When you see a hand stitched seam on the back, it is deliberate, not a flaw. By creating my pieces this way, I can achieve better more accurate shapes than I would by hand sewing shut a curve or corner. ~B~
