Just finished, in a very, VERY limited edition for 2024 is this wondrous segue Vintage Muse By Barb original design. It is a perfect transitional piece leading from summer into fall; a delicious go-anywhere arrangement that showcases a fanciful ORIGINAL folk art blackbird to add a lovely bit of vintage style charm to your primitive homestead gatherings. Crow is fashioned from quality muslin (NOT the kind you can read the paper through ;-)), aged, colored with black gel stain-TWICE, sanded and aged again. Featuring a needle sculpted beak and tiny button eye, he is finished with a HANDMADE by ME for YOU luscious primitive polymer clay sunflower sewn to his side-you can see the flower, layered from the background sunny gold to the middle rich brown and embellished with a black faceted crystal bead in the center, on the closeup-isn't it darling? He has been fastened to a chonky HANDMADE pumpkin that I crafted from grain sack fabric that I also hand dyed into this lovely light orange to create an alluring "stack". Both the pumpkin and the crow are nestled into a repurposed can that I've grubbied and aged with paint and layer upon layer of my very own faux rust mixture, which may "shed" with handling, but just like a real rusty can, it is to be expected, and not a flaw. It is weighted slightly to keep it stable on your shelf, table, mantle, etc. Also tucked into the can, under the pumpkin, in between the crow and the pumpkin, and around the wooden pumpkin stem that I created from the branch of a fallen limb in my back yard, is a generous helping of Spanish moss. On the back side, just for that little touch of somethin' somethin' extra, a green and cream homespun bow topped with a jute twine bow and wooden beads that I've hand painted with mustard colored matte paint finishes this charming endeavor. A printed crow and pumpkin label, the inspiration for the entire project completes the approx. 8.75"T X 5.5"W design (+/- 1") which is sure to please-as a treasure to keep, or a gift to share! Next to your tiered tray, in a wooden bowl surrounded by blackened wax and rosehips, on a stack of vintage sheet music on a little table, anywhere you can imagine-it WILL delight!
The coordinating styled props are NOT included with this item, but I hope they will inspire you for your own vignette!

Fabric/quilts/trimmings with an indication of "vintage" or "antique" are NOT new; therefore, they may have wear, uneven color, small holes, and other age-appropriate imperfections. I make every effort to use the best parts of any fabrics, but they are seldom pristine. All of my fabric items are sewn completely around and a slot is cut into the back piece, which is NEW fabric, for turning and stuffing. When you see a hand stitched seam on the back, it is deliberate, not a flaw. By creating my pieces this way, I can achieve better more accurate shapes than I would by hand sewing shut a curve or corner.

Returns and exchanges
We accept returns for 14 days for exchange or refund.
Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and any loss in value if an item isn't returned in original condition and in original packaging.
Custom and personalized orders
I am currently unable to accept custom orders.

Sizes are listed in item description and are approximate (as accurately as I am able to measure them).

Wholesale availability
We are not able to accept wholesale orders.
Shipping
We currently only ship to the United States.
I am NOT responsible for damages/theft etc. to uninsured packages regardless of reason. If your order is above the amount covered by the USPS,
we will automatically add the additional insurance required at the BUYER'S expense so that we are both protected in case of loss. I ship EVERY item with tracking,
and will message you the tracking number once your order ships. If a package seems "lost" I will be happy to assist you in locating it, but the USPS requires a 30-day wait
before an insurance claim can be filed (if your package is insured).
Customer is responsible for providing correct shipping address. I will only ship to the address you provide on your order.
Can We Hold Orders to Ship at a Later Date?
No. We ship our items quickly and cannot be responsible for keeping track of orders beyond the date on the original invoice.
We have thousands of items plus supplies to monitor and would feel terrible if something got lost in the shuffle.
