About this Product
You know it's the height of summer when the sunflowers bloom! Today I am so happy to present this approx. 8.5"T X 8.5"W (+/-) welcoming pillow-NOT a pillow cover, but the WHOLE PILLOW- that I've created for YOU using layers of loosely woven grain sack fabric and 100%cotton batting, embellished front and back, with so many trims that I've created by hand using the assortment of skills I've acquired in a variety of media in my 40+ years of crafting. The focal of this cheerful project is a cheerful sunflower fashioned from layers of grain sack and a vintage 100% wool blanket with a center of 1800's brown calico fabric. I've added "seeds" that I sewed on by hand made from tiny glass beads. The flower and her center are both appliqued to the pillow base. I've also constructed a pocket from the same brown antique calico, appliqued it onto the pillow front, and tucked in some fussy cut sunflower garden tags-because you just gotta know that ain't nobody likes empty pockets! The front of the pocket is decorated with a wooden button that I painted golden mustardy color to harmonize with the sunny. A charming hand stamped (yes, of course, by me) muslin seeds label finishes the pillow front. I searched through my bits and pieces of scraps and found a bit of vintage Pfister seed corn sack which made the perfect patch for the back of the pillow and is a tribute to Fall which is surely on the way when the sunflowers are finished. It would be ever so sweet on a bench in a protected area on your front porch by a WELCOME SUMMER sign and a watering can with trailing greenery. Or you could use it indoors on a precious settee in front of some larger solid color pillows as a colorful accent for your whitewashed farmhouse motif. Only you know what your heart desire, but anywhere YOUR muse inclines-it will be just the thing for you to love year after year-starting as soon as it arrives! I know you'll enjoy this special mixed media treasure and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to share my creation with you.
All of my items are available across multiple platforms and are sold first come, first served. Please consider that these are created from ANTIQUE/Vintage materials, so I cannot just order more fabric from the quilt shop or a catalog-when the amount I have on hand runs out, it is GONE! If you love this item, best to make your purchase when you see it to avoid disappointment!
Fabric/quilts/trimmings with an indication of "vintage" or "antique" are NOT new; therefore, they may have wear, uneven color, small holes, and other age-appropriate imperfections. I make every effort to use the best parts of any fabrics, but they are seldom pristine.All of my fabric items are sewn completely around and a slot is cut into the backing piece, which is NEW fabric, for turning and stuffing. When you see a hand stitched seam on the back, it is deliberate, not a flaw. By creating my pieces this way, I can achieve better more accurate shapes than I would by hand sewing shut a curve or corner. ~B~

Returns and exchanges
We accept returns for 14 days for exchange or refund.
Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and any loss in value if an item isn't returned in original condition and in original packaging.

Sizes are listed in item description and are approximate (as accurately as I am able to measure them).

We are not able to accept wholesale orders.
Shipping
We currently only ship to the United States.
I am NOT responsible for damages/theft etc. to uninsured packages regardless of reason. If your order is above the amount covered by the USPS,
we will automatically add the additional insurance required at the BUYER'S expense so that we are both protected in case of loss. I ship EVERY item with tracking,
and will message you the tracking number once your order ships. If a package seems "lost" I will be happy to assist you in locating it, but the USPS requires a 30-day wait
before an insurance claim can be filed (if your package is insured).
Customer is responsible for providing correct shipping address. I will only ship to the address you provide on your order.
Can We Hold Orders to Ship at a Later Date?
No. We ship our items quickly and cannot be responsible for keeping track of orders beyond the date on the original invoice.
We have thousands of items plus supplies to monitor and would feel terrible if something got lost in the shuffle.
