About this Product

Your wedding, birthday, anniversary, sympathy, or other special occasion cards will be hand-bound into a custom book. Each book is completely customizable, including cover paper, flyleaf paper, colors, ribbon, and any cover motif. Once you make choices and send me your cards you should expect it to take three to six weeks for me to make your book and ship it back to you.
The price includes free shipping of the finished book(s) from me to you and includes all materials. You are required to select your cover paper from one of the websites listed below. You will also be required to ship your cards to me in Oregon, USA at your own expense.

Each book will hold 40 to 50 single-fold cards or a stack between two and three inches high. If you have more cards than that they will have to be split into two (or more) books. If you have a lot of cards with extra folds, dimensional additions, pop-ups, or inclusions additional books may be required. If the stacked cards measure more than 3" WITHOUT pressing down on them you may need additional books. When I receive your cards I will make the final determination whether you need additional books or not. If you send your cards to me and I determine that additional books are necessary you will need to decide to proceed at the additional cost or cancel the order. Your shipping charges will NOT be refunded.

If I find that I can fit your cards into fewer books any extra charges will be refunded.

The height and width of your book will depend on the size of your cards.

Inventories at most retail paper suppliers change frequently, and I do not keep an inventory of cover papers, so please browse through the paper at the websites listed below and let me know what you like. Your books should all have the same cover paper and details. If you require them to be different they will need to be a separate order and will be charged according to the number of cards.

** IMPORTANT**
* Your cards will be permanently preserved in a handmade, hardbound book. Each card is sewn through the fold and will be completely visible on all sides.

* You will be required to choose a cover paper from one of these sources:

If your paper choice exceeds $10 per book you will be charged the extra amount. Some paper is difficult to work with and could incur an extra cost. I will try to inform you of this before the paper is ordered, however, I can't always tell until I receive it.

* Pop-up cards, postcards, and other cards that are difficult to work with or which require special handling can also incur additional costs. Cards taller than nine inches or wider than six inches will be charged extra due to additional material costs.

* I can include a limited amount of memorabilia, e.g. photos, envelopes, florist cards, ticket stubs, etc. These items will ALWAYS result in extra charges per each piece.

* You will need to be able to tell me a decorative theme for your book. e.g. Elegant, fun, punk, etc or flowers, hobbies, interests, etc. along with secondary colors and metallic accents. I also need you to tell me if there is anything I cannot use (religious symbols, colors you dislike, etc). I will send you mock-up photos of the materials, and then I hope you will trust my creativity to put something together you will love.

* If you have a deadline or special occasion for which you need your card book(s) please message me before placing your order to determine if I can meet your deadline. I can often complete a book faster than 6-8 weeks—but not always—and I require your cooperation to do so.

** Unfortunately, I find I must add the following policies: When you place an order you are reserving my time to make your book(s). Please do not place your order until you are ready to send all your cards to me. If you fail to send your cards to me within 10 days of my initial communication with you your order will be canceled. In order to complete your book on time I need prompt communication from you. If you have additional fees and fail to pay for the special listing I will hold your cards for 120 days from the listing date and then they will be disposed of.

Thank you for your purchase. We hope your purchase from LouJean Designs will bring you many years of happiness.

WARRANTY

LouJean Designs warrants that the work represented here is original and handmade. Each product or piece that comes from our studio is unique and we take great pride in knowing that each piece is truly one-of-a-kind. Certain characteristics or defects inherent to handmade products may be present. Handmade items that are not machine-made contain slight irregularities and variations. These traits are considered part of the character of the piece and should not be considered defects. We stand behind the integrity and quality of our handcrafted products. 

All original designs and photos are copyrighted by the Artist.

RETURNS

As a rule, we do not take returns, however, if you find that there is a defect of some kind, please contact us immediately to discuss the situation.

All returns must be postmarked within seven (7) days of receipt. All returned items must be in new and unworn condition and must include the original packaging or gift box. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee.

RETURN PROCESS

To return an item, please email customer service at LouJean@Q.com to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization. We reserve the right to deny a refund to the sender without prior return approval. You are responsible for all return shipping charges. We strongly recommend that you use a trackable method to mail your return, and should consider shipping insurance for items valued over $50. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

REFUND PROCESS

Returned items must be in original condition, must be unworn, and must include the original packaging or gift box. Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, we will process your refund. Please allow at least fourteen (14) days from our receipt of your item to process your refund. Refunds will be applied to your original method of payment.

EXCEPTIONS

Sale items are final and cannot be returned. There are no returns on custom-made products or art.

SHIPPING POLICY

We ship in-stock items by USPS Priority Mail within three (3) days of you placing an order. Shipping will include insurance and tracking. If for some unexpected reason we are unable to ship within that time frame we will contact you by email. Made-to-order items typically ship within 7 to 10 business days. Some custom work can take as long as 6 to 8 weeks to ship. Please see individual item descriptions for specific processing and shipping times.

Shipping within the United States is free. We also ship to Canada using calculated shipping. We currently do not ship internationally (with the exception of Canada) at this time. LouJean Designs is not responsible for any customs or import fees.

Please contact us if you would like to purchase upgraded or expedited shipping.

If you need your item by a specific date, please let us know. We will do our best to make sure your item reaches you in time for your special event, however, we can only guarantee that your order is shipped within a reasonable time frame, and we cannot guarantee a delivery time by any carrier.

It is your responsibility to ensure that there is a safe place for your mail to be delivered. We are not responsible for lost or stolen mail.
