About this Product
Summer 2023 Harvest of Nectar collected from flowers in Essex and southern Passaic counties, New Jersey.
The honey for this year is yellow in color with a slightly green tinge. Of all the honeys harvested this year, the bees of Montclair Heights created a less sweet honey with more body and a tangy finish.
Offered in a 12 ounce PET plastic jar.
The foraging radius for these honeybees include these towns and parks in Essex and Passaic counties: Montclair, West Patterson, Woodland Park, Little Falls, Verona, Cedar Grove, North Caldwell, West Orange, Glen Ridge, Bloomfield, Nutley, the greenways along the Garden State Parkway.
We experienced a drought and smokey skies from the unfortunate Canadian fires this Spring. Drier and warmer than usual, we were concerned initially for the bees. But they grew rapidly and found ample nectar and pollen sources. They gave us the largest honey harvest yet.

Please bear in mind that real honey granulates.

Meet the Maker
We hope you enjoy these wonderful gifts from the bees.
In 2007 I was looking for work and spending lots of time around the house. My kids enjoyed the extra time with Dad, but my wife, not so much. She signed me up for some adult education courses in town. Having always been interested in beekeeping, I enrolled in an introduction course. Years later this hobby has grown into a fascinating sideline.
