This beautiful necklace contains vibrant and fresh dried purple and lilac flowers. The silver tray made out of durable zinc alloy, was painted with purple acrylic paint in order to give the design a more cohesive look. Each flower and leaf is strategically placed. How it’s Made
The round metal pendant is painted inside with purple acrylic paint and then dries thoroughly.
Then Carol selects the dried flowers she wishes to use in the design. If necessary, she may cut the flowers, stem, or leaves with small scissors, so that they will fit perfectly in the pendant. Next she takes a small amount of glue and carefully adheres the flowers on top of the glue. Once the piece is thoroughly dry, Carol takes her gorilla gel glue and carefully places it inside the outer surface of the metal tray. She next carefully presses the glass cabochon on top of the metal tray. After a few minutes, Carol clamps down the cabochon with vinyl clothes pins for several hours.
