I'm Julie Vesely. My "Altar Ego" is the part of me that longs to connect ~ to my Inner Self, to Nature, and to Others. "Earth Prayers" reflect and hold the energy of my need to make order from disorder, my love of color and beauty, and my desire to share myself and what I see with others.
I create Earth Prayers from bits of nature that I collect on meditative walks in my city, on nearby mountain hikes, on vacation in the Pacific Northwest, and in the Southwest! It is a practice of attention, awe, and non-attachment.
I hope Earth Prayers will inspire connection and a desire to care for our Mother Earth. Perhaps you will create your own Earth Prayers! And I hope you'll love them as I do!

I create Earth Prayers from bits of nature that I collect on meditative walks here in the Mountain West! It is a practice of attention, awe, and non-attachment. This piece was created when the petals fell from a lovely purple chrysanthemum. They asked to be assembled into a heart shape for Valentines Day!
