About this Product

** In response to a one-star review, the grower had mentioned that these seeds were not up to par, the second image is the Purple Russian tomatoes that we are growing from the same batch of seeds as the reviewer had purchased. We experienced 7 out of 7 seeds growing. When a tomato growth is stunted, this could be from overwatering, underwatering, etc. After your tomatoes get their first true leaves, you also want to start using a diluted fertilizer. When sowing, the soil should be coco coir, potting mix, or seed start soil. outdoor soil will not retain the moisture needed for successful tomato plant growing. We are 100% confident these will grow fine for you and please reach out if you have any questions or need any help with these. :) Purple Russian tomato seeds: The Purple Russian is a prolific beauty! Originally from Ukraine, this variety found its way to the U.S and gardeners rejoice in its arrival. Purple Russian tomatoes are plum-oblong-shaped tomato that has attractive olive-green shoulders, and a deep red hue. The outside is always smooth and cracks resistant to boot! These are extremely meaty with low acidity and sweet flesh that lends itself well to summer tomato salads, salads, grilling, canning, and sun drying. This is an indeterminate variety and the generosity of this plant doesn't hold back. You will have more than enough to share. We grew a couple of these in containers and were harvesting tomatoes almost daily. These do extremely well in containers. Even with a 5-gallon container, we were able to get high yields from these guys. Your tomatoes range between 3" and -4" long. Maturity days: 80 days **Note to Etsy: Seeds are domestic, the tomato is named after its origin.

Meet the Maker

Welcome to Blue Pumpkin Seed Co.! My lifelong love of gardening, especially pumpkins, led me to create this company.

We started as a small family business on Etsy in 2020, sharing our passion for heirloom seeds. Over time, I took charge to ensure this labor of love would flourish. I'm thrilled to now offer you a carefully curated selection of seeds directly.

The wonder of watching a seed grow continues to inspire me. As a fellow gardener, I share the same excitement and joy for gardening as our customers do.
