Hello and welcome to my corner of Go Imagine!
After my crisis counselor shifts, I always looked for ways to decompress after my shifts. I found fluid art painting through YouTube and it brought a sense of ease and calm so I could fall asleep. I started dabbling in this art last summer and it has been so fulfilling and joyful, such a release. Friends and family know how important mental health awareness is to me and I wanted to share that through my art. If I can bring joy and peace to anyone with this art that playfully flows across the canvas, that fills my soul.

How it’s Made
Creating this flip cup painting was all about embracing the unpredictability of the process and letting the colors guide the outcome. I chose deep purples and whites to create a cosmic, dreamy vibe and prepared the paints in a way that would give them a smooth, flowing consistency. When I poured the colors together onto the canvas and tilted it, I watched as the pigments spread, collided, and formed beautiful cellular patterns. The whole experience feels like collaborating with the paints themselves, as they create their own shapes and designs. It’s always thrilling to see how the colors interact and form these unique patterns, and that’s what makes this piece so special—its design can never be recreated exactly the same way again.
