About this Product

Meet the Maker
I create durable one of a kind crocheted rag rugs by up-cycling clean vintage fabrics that may be machine washed. Rag rugs are my creative passion. I take the time to do my very best work with each and every one, paying close attention to detail because I like all transactions to be honest and fair whether I am buying or selling. Trying to do my small part in not adding more fabrics to our earths landfills and oceans. I work with 100% reclaimed, recycle cotton/poly blend fabrics that are available to me in my area of southern Missouri. This is one of the creative skills that has been passed down from generation to generation.
How it’s Made
I scout for and purchase cotton and cotton blend used linens, curtains, table cloths, pillow cases and more to create a durable decor for your floor. fabrics are machine washed and dried on hot cycles. Hems and seams are removed before I hand cut into strips that I machine sew end to end and back again for added security. I used a hand carved wooden hook that was used by my mother to crocheted into rag rugs that can be washed. All tails are weaved in then hand sewn to ensure they stay hidden. I am glad for the opportunity to get to sell an item that was taught to me by my sweet mother and grandmother. I do not take custom orders, color combination or design suggestions are welcome as I work with what is available to me in the are that I live, southern Missouri.
