ONE MORNING, IN MY EARLY THIRTIES, I rolled out of bed, put one foot on the floor and fell. Suddenly, I could no longer put any pressure on my ankle.
After a series of X-rays, the doctor told me it was arthritis.
Within a few days, I could stand without immediate and lingering pain. Over time, though, I discovered that after lots of walking or climbing a flight of stairs, that darn arthritis would start hurting. And, it wasn't just slight pain.. it was a significant amount of pain!
A few years later, I was still experiencing pain, but now I was running around with two small children all day. Some days I thought the pain wouldn't stop!
A few more years later, my husband brought home a magnetic bracelet. I had no idea magnetic bracelets even existed or why I would want to wear one. As he began to explain to me how magnetic jewelry could help to ease pain, I was more than just a little skeptical.
But, as he consistently wore the bracelet and began to experience the pain from the arthritis in his hands begin to ease (and ease so much that he cut way back on his medication), I turned into a believer.
Two ankle bracelets and a few weeks later, and the arthritis pain in my ankles was almost non-existent!
I was so excited that I wanted to shout it from the mountaintops! Imagine how great it would be for so many people to discover how awesome life could be as their pain was eased by wearing magnetic jewelry. Fewer medications, more freedom, an improved quality of life.
It was from this that Beads-N-Style was born. A desire to help others experience the relief my husband and I had experienced. The freedom we found when we were no longer tied down by pain and discomfort in our daily lives.
And, those two small children I used to chase around on my painful, arthritic ankles? They are now 20 and 17, and since we discovered magnetic jewelry, have been able to enjoy parents that no longer ask them to slow down because Momma's ankles hurt and she needs to take a break. Or, being asked by Dad not to play and wrestle so hard because his hands just really hurt today. It's been a win-win for the whole family!
