About this Product
Get these unique, handmade potholders for your kitchen, or pair them with a kitchen tool or gourmet pantry item as a thoughtful gift for your host and hostess. They also come in handy as trivets for your counter or table top.
I used small bits of a variety of red and gray fabrics to create the top of the trivet and a vibrant solid red for the back. Each one is bound in beautiful red.
Each hot pad measures 9" square and has a strip of cotton twill sewn onto the back for hanging. The middle layer (batting) is a layer of cotton plus a layer of Insul-Bright ®, which is heat and cold reflective, but not heat-proof. NOT FOR USE IN THE MICROWAVE.
These make a great budget-friendly gift or get them for yourself to spice up your kitchen decor.
Everything in my shop is made in my clean, smoke-free home.
â—ˆ Every effort is made to accurately portray the colors of this item; however, there can be variations due to differences in screens.

Off Kilter Quilts
Meet the Maker
It took me by storm . . .
The first time I saw racks and racks of quilting fabric, I thought, "I HAVE to get this into my life!"
If you love color and pattern, you know what I mean.
I bought a sewing machine and took a class. The next thing I knew, I was accumulating quilting tools and fabric at a rapid pace. After a few years, I knew it wasn't a passing fad and I decided to open an online shop.
I've never looked back. It's still a joy for me to select fabrics for a pattern, then press, cut and sew the pieces into something that will bring comfort and joy into someone's home.
So, please look around and share in my love for this art form!
Linda
How it’s Made
Just like the large quilts I make, these pot holders are sewn from very small pieces of fabric. The middle layer (batting) is a layer of cotton plus a layer of Insul-Bright ®, which is heat and cold reflective, but not heat-proof. All of the layers plus the backing are then quilted together. The binding is sewn on both front and back by machine and I add a strip of cotton twill on the back for hanging.

FAQ'S
- Quilt care: Quilts are machine washable in cold water. A detailed page of care instructions will be included with your quilt order. Should you misplace it, I'm happy to send a copy via email.
- Pricing: A handmade quilt is a labor of love, which is why they become treasured family heirlooms. From choosing a pattern and fabrics to precise cutting and sewing, basting the three quilt layers together and then quilting and binding, it's an intense and time-consuming process. Prices for embroidered pillows vary according to how elaborate the design is: the more colors and elaborate the design, the longer it takes to plan and stitch out.
