About this Product
The fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood that most of us grew up with in the US is probably one of the best known "old" stories that still circulates. And the current version is absolutely a legitimate version, of course, but.... there are so many more, so many darker, versions of the story that stretch back through history. This print is of an oil painting I made to try to visually depict all the major historical variations at once; at least as they relate to Red.
And of course, if this image speaks to you for another reason, with different meaning and even in other visual languages- that's totally valid. The image I made can live a different life in your mind, that's one of the great things about art.
No part of this artwork has been made with generative AI or artificial "intelligence" models. Each of these prints are professionally printed on heavy card stock and have a satin finish. Colors will vary a little bit based on how your monitor or device is setup to display them etc.

Sitting between a cat & a crow, in adrenaline withdrawal, painting the visions that float past. Leah is an emerging oil painter living in Madison WI. Her original work has been exhibited nationally and is in private collections throughout the US and world. Leah's work focuses on reconnecting with the spiritual other, the occult, the old and the arcane. No "artificial intelligence" is used at any point in her creative process.
In a world increasingly cluttered by algorithmic, artificial, mass-produced and easily disposed images that leave their viewer feeling hollow, Leah's work is done with traditional techniques and connects with a need for authenticity. In the midst of so much tragedy, and a world that seems more out of control with every day, her work seeks to reconnect with a sublime, magical beauty.
In addition to being an artist, Leah is an endurance hiker and is semi-professionally death adjacent (licensed EMT).

Please contact me if there are any problems with your order within 7 days. I try really really hard to package work in a way that is extremely difficult to damage in shipping- but, occasionally, it does happen. Prints damaged during shipping will be replaced. Original fine art paintings will be shipped after payment posts and will only be refunded upon return.
Leah MacLeod retains the intellectual property rights to all images and does not give consent or permission for their replication or use other than personal display or collection. No artwork may be used to train or entered into artificial generative "AI" programs or models.
