I purchased this interestingly shaped little 5" red ceramic Ashland bowl from a store and thought it needed a bit of color! What makes it so unique, besides the added paint job, is the way it is shaped. Higher in the back than the front - what a clever design! I hand painted, using no stencil or template, the white and green dot art in acrylic paint all around the circumference of the bowl and also some design on the bottom. The measurements of the bowl are 4.75" x 4.75" x 2.5" (12cm x 12cm x 6.35cm). There is a coat of sealant over the paint around the outside and underneath of the bowl, however, it is not dishwasher, microwave or oven safe. Would suggest using a soft, damp cloth to gently clean/wipe down the exterior of the bowl as too much pressure may cause damage to the sealant. The inside of the bowl though has not been altered at all! This little bowl would be great for the holidays but can definitely be used any time of year. Not only would it look stunning on a table or in the kitchen, but why not add some hard candies, potpourri, or make it a jewelry holder - the possibilities of its functionality are endless for this unique little bowl!

Meet the Maker
Greetings! My name is Candis and my wonderful husband and I are the makers of our items in Crafts By Candis. A couple of years ago, I started making crafts with wine bottles. The first one was just a paint it, hang a Christmas sled on it, add a topper and voila - done! Then it progressed into making other kinds of decorative Christmas bottles and then beach themed bottles. In addition to giving new life to empty bottles, we now make our own wooden sleds to adorn the bottles with and laser engraved coasters. Coming soon will be laser engraved wooden clocks and whimsical wooden flip flops.
A little about us ~ For the past few years we have been empty nesters and we currently full time in our RV. We have 2 sons and one grandson! It's minimal living and gives us so much time to visit family, enjoy the outdoors, go golfing, watch lots of sports and make our crafts together. Just recently we became the proud parents of 10 acres of Nature Paradise - raw land! So eventually we will be back in a house that we are building ourselves. Lots of work but it's so rewarding!
I come from a Sales & Marketing background and have dabbled in some different markets - first with hotels, then RV's and lastly self storage properties. I have recently found my dream job (working where my husband works) as an administrative assistant - absolutely love the job, the company and the co-workers, not to mention the additional time I get to spend with the hubs.

How it’s Made
The bowl is ceramic and I purchased it from a local store. To create the dot art designs around the entire outside of the bowl, I used white and green acrylic paint applied with a few dotting tools, toothpicks, ends of paint brushes and a nut picker. The last thing added was a light layer of sealant to protect the painted areas. The inside of the bowl was not painted or sealed.

RETURN POLICY: Please contact us within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. For returnable items, they must be returned, at the buyers shipping expense, within 30 days of delivery. Customized and/or personalized items are non-refundable. Exchanges are not available on items.
For items that are broken upon delivery (broken by no fault of the buyer) the buyer may be eligible for a full refund. Photos of the packaging and item(s) will be required within 7 days of delivery.
