About this Product
Nothing is so lovely and relaxing as watching ripples flitter across a formerly still pond as autumn leaves fall into it's mirror like surface. This mermaid captures those lovely ripples as they drift away from holographic leaves. This mermaid boasts light 3D resin details and holographic leaves which occasionally peek out of the smooth clear resin 'pond'.
This lovingly handmade pendant includes an 18" chain and a small matching clasp charm. This mermaid has been hand made by me in my home studio. No two of my resin art pieces will be the same. The pendant back will be smooth with very light 3D emphasis to the design. Resin is very light weight and durable so even at 8.5cm this pendant is comfortable for everyday wear.

Please note that unlike most of the necklaces I make, this does have a few elements (the leaves on the front sticking up out of the pond) that could feel scratchy on bare skin or catch on lace or netting.

How it’s Made
This mermaid was made with several layers. The 'water' starts at the bottom semi-transparent and each layer of leaves and water is a little more clear to give a depth to the 'pond'. The leaves are made of holographic plastic and the leaves at the top are carefully bent to best resemble real leaves. The three dimensional ripples are made with layers of clear resin. The whole pendant is then carefully finished with a coat of clear resin and some sanding/polishing.
