About this Product
The Rockin for Joshua Tree poster, year 2008, was the simpler version of the 8 color screen print for the same type event 8 years previous. The Copper on matte Black paper is 20" x 24 ". This was designed and screen printed by Idavid Graficks for the fundraising event 'Rockin for Joshua Tree' in Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown. This was the second event to fund raise for the legal costs of a Federal Appeals case against the largest proposed MegaDump in the world being placed adjacent to Joshua Tree National Park.
The image infers a heart and shield effect which is exactly what our group was doing - loving and protecting OUR Joshua Tree National Park. There's about one hundred of these posters remaining for sale.
Idavid Graficks

Meet the Maker
Idavid Graficks is a Fine Art Screen Print studio in Joshua Tree. Idavid Graficks is Ida Foreman and David Fick. We were world class screen printing when we moved to Joshua Tree in 1985. Idavid Graficks also got involved with Joshua Tree, Joshua Trees and Joshua Tree National Park through the decades. We’ve also done posters for major cultural events in Joshua Tree and surrounding area. There’s much relatable history but the short version is “Idavid Graficks IS Joshua Tree”.

We decided to have a nationwide retail store since we have some historic imagery that most have never seen. Some from forty years, thirty years, twenty-five years, twenty years and some more recently. We have also recently added T-shirt capabilities since Joshua Tree National Park Association ( https://joshuatree.org/2022-minerva-hoyt-award-winner/ ) told us “we hardly sell posters but lots and lots of T-shirts”. So we screen print our historic “Rockin for Joshua Tree” T-shirts and do the rest as versatile DTF.
All work designed and printed in our Joshua Tree Fine Art Screen Print studio.
Ida had passed in late 2019, David and our son Arthur (the Art Dept.) carry on.

How it’s Made
All serigraphs and screen print posters are screen printed at Idavid Graficks studio in Eastern Joshua Tree. We've been in Joshua Tree for forty years.

We use our forty-three year old semi-automatic screen print press for quality of printing - not quantity. We've refined our screen printing capabilities through the decades.
Metallic Red Copper Ink on matte black uncoated NPH heavyweight paper
The Rock 'n Rollers of the performing groups asked for a more 'rock 'n roll' version of the eight color Rockin for Joshua Tree so Idavid Graficks obliged in 2008. They wanted T-shirts and that was done in 2008. Simple Copper on Black T-shirts.
This effort eventually, six years later, defeated the largest proposed MegaDump in the world (700 million tons of garbage). That would be a hundred years of Southern California Garbage.
