About this Product
This buckle is made with an agate found in Mexico. I have formed it in my beveled edge design and it is supported with my Handmade German Silver backing. The buckle will fit a belt up to 1 1/2" in width and the buckle measures 2" by 3'" and is 3/16" in thickness . The backing is signed and dated with the stones name also engraved on the backing. Please note that German Silver is not silver but an alloy comprised of nickle,brass and zinc. I use this metal instead of silver because it is stronger, less expensive and it doesn't tarnish as does silver.

How it’s Made
I have been making my buckles for approximately 45 years. I cut shape and polish all my pieces and fabricate my belt buckle backings using German silver or as it's also called nickle silver. German silver is not silver but an alloy comprised of nickle,brass, and zinc and I use it because it is stronger,less expensive and it doesn't tarnish as does silver. All my buckles take around 20 different steps to complete and the one's with silver insets take many more steps.
