How it’s Made
3D printing, or additive manufacturing, builds objects layer by layer from digital designs. A printer interprets these layers and deposits material, like plastic or resin, to create the final product. This precise process allows for intricate designs and minimal waste, making it perfect for crafting items like my Articulated Axolotl fidget toy.
I also inspect each item for defects like, color bleed, lifted edges and make sure everything was printed correctly. I remove supports on models that need them and also any sanding needed.
PLA is lightweight, very durable and will withstand a lot of wear and tear, but it's not dishwasher safe. Any colors other than white will fade if left outdoor long-term. 3D prints are heat sensitive and can warp or distort if kept in high heat such as in the car, outside or in direct sunlight for a long period of time.

Ok well I'm a stay at home dad and got into 3d printing awhile ago. I've enjoyed every part of the hobby even the frustrations and well so far my kids like it too. My wife after our second little one was born really wanted me to do something other than work nights and stay up with kids while she was at work. Well something happened at work and I'm not doing as much as I can to make this business work. So far it's been a blast so I hope to keep going.
