These are beautiful ruby agate and sterling silver wire wrapped stick earrings. They feature faceted ruby red agate beads and gleaming white Swarovski pearls stationed at the ends of wire wrapped sterling silver sticks. The total length is 1 3/4 inches from top of the handmade sterling silver ear wires.

How it’s Made
I made these earrings with 20 gauge sterling silver wire. First I used a chasing hammer to flatten one end to hold a bead. Then I added the beads and flattened the other end of the wire. Next I wire wrapped the wire between the beads with 26 gauge sterling silver wire, and then added 24 gauge sterling silver wire on top. Then I formed the wire so that one end was little longer than the other. The next step was an oxidation bath in liver of sulfur. Then I carefullly polished them to reveal the gorgeous texture of the wire wrapping. I set them with ear wires I made using 20 gauge sterling silver wire.
