This rustic pet basket is made from all natural fibers to keep it beautifully durable, long lasting, and comfortable and cozy for our furry friends. It's hand washable, reversible, fade resistant, and a delight on bare feet or paws! Also is great to store pet toys or other trinkets!
◾ Hand crocheted from new upcycled woolen remnants sourced in the USA from a SteP** Certified woolen mill. My supplier is well known for producing quality fibers to produce Native American and Western style blankets and apparel. It embraces a zero-waste policy and sells its selvage scraps for upcycling to avoid landfill waste.
◾ Package will include 1 pet basket, other items in the pictures are for display only.
◾Dimensions: Roughly 17" outside diameter, inside diameter is about 19" and outside wall is 3".
◾ Materials: New upcycled natural wool (80% or higher) blended with cotton (content varies slightly depending on the remnants used).
◾ Colors: Mostly orange with rmaroon and navy. Colors in the photos are as close as possible to the actual, but they may appear different on your screen.
◾ Care and Safety: A light hand vacuuming is usually all you need to keep the basket looking great. Wool is naturally stain resistant so cleaning spills immediately, and spot cleaning with a mild soap when needed will keep the bed looking like new. You can also gently hand wash in a large tub with mild soap, rinse, remove excess water by rolling in a towel, then lay flat to dry in a ventilated area. Do not machine wash.
Note: A rug backing (not included) is recommended for use on hard floors to prevent it from sliding.

Meet the Maker
Welcome to Bidizza! Life is short, and I believe there is beauty in everyone and all things. My wish is that my handmade gifts will add a little happiness for you or someone in your life!
My love for sewing started at an early age watching my mom use my Nana's 1910 Singer sewing machine. I was later influenced by my big sister who taught me how to design and sew my own clothes as she shared her love, knowledge and appreciation of fine wool and silk textiles. She lived near the Kentucky textile mills and would mail swatches of fabric for us to collaborate on making my business suits for post-college job interviews. Life happened, and I lost my focus on sewing for a while until both my daughters needed wedding dresses. Once the wedding dress adventures took hold, I was right back into sewing, and now retired I'm blessed with being able to enjoy the small batch work of handbags, scarves and other items.
I still rely on my sister for feedback, ideas (and big life decisions!). I inherited that 1910 sewing machine and it remains an inspiration for my work.
My granddaughter now has her first Singer and we're building memories as she begins her own making journey.
How did the shop name Bidizza originate? My grandparents immigrated to the United States from Sicily in the early 1900's. The Sicilian word Bidizza references beautiful in the Sicilian language and is my small way of honoring my Sicilian roots.
My creations include rustic wool shag rugs, pet beds, bowl cozies, upscale wool handbags, upcycled denim bags and other gifts inspired by natural fibers, sourced in the USA when possible, with a minimal environmental footprint.

Shop Policies
Processing Time:
Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1-2 days. The time the item actually arrives to you depends on the carrier, along with variables outside of my control, but typically takes between 3-7 business days from the time it leaves my shop. Most items are shipped via USPS ground advantage but sometimes I use FedEx or UPS.
Returns:
It’s important to me that you are happy with your purchase and feel comfortable referring me to others. If for any reason that’s not the case, please contact me at bidizzagifts@gmail.com and we’ll work something out.
RETURN POLICY
CHANGE OF HEART: You may return your item within 30 days of purchase as long as it is in its original unused condition. You pay the cost to ship to me. I’ll replace the item or refund your money as long as it has not been used or damaged. If you paid cash at a craft fair, I’ll need to know which show and will verify with my records the date of purchase.
HANDBAG WORKMANSHIP GUARANTEE (applies only to purses and wallets) If your purse or wallet has a construction failure with 90 days of receipt, I will correct, fix, or replace it for free (my decision on which option). Shipping the item back to me is your responsibility. I will cover the return shipping of the repaired or replaced item back to you.
Examples of construction failures include, but are not limited to zipper teeth failures, seams unravelling, and popping rivets. Construction failures do NOT include abrasions, tears not on a seam, stains, or zipper pull failures, as these are signs of use and not the fault of the maker. If you encounter a construction failure beyond 90 days after receipt or through normal usage, please contact me immediately to see if it still might be repairable for a small fee. The sooner you contact me, the more likely it is that I have that fabric available for a repair.
