About this Product
These rustic fall pumpkins have a unique finish that will make your fall decor stand apart. They're created by burning the wood, then removing the soft char. The dark hardwood rings contrast beautifully with the orange dyed soft wood. Every single piece is unique! This finish really shows off the character of the wood grain.
Each set of 3 comes in varying heights, ranging from 3 to 7 inches. These are all hand-crafted, so there is no uniformity. They're 3.5" wide.
Recommended for indoor use, as the dye could potentially bleed from the bottom of they get rained on.

Meet the Maker
I inherited my mom's craftiness, and I get a lot of joy from making things!
My current crafty focus is on woodworking and painting. Bringing the two together is especially satisfying. I love making fine woodworking pieces, but I don't shy away from throwing together something rustic using reclaimed wood.
Seasonal items are fun because they give me something new to play with all the time. I can always look forward to the next season if I'm caught in the doldrums. Creating something lovely and useful is my favorite. But it's also nice to just make something pretty.
If you like the style of something but prefer a different color scheme, please don't hesitate to reach out. Custom orders will take more time. But it's worth it to wait a little while for the perfect piece!
How it’s Made
I started by ripping the corners off a 4x4 to make an octagon. Then I cut them into smaller pieces and burned them to a crisp using a propane weed torch. (Very cathartic, I'll admit.) I used a brush wheel on my drill and cleaned out the soft wood char. It is a very dusty process. Orange dye brightened them right up. I used pieces of stick from my yard, whittled down at the end to fit into a hole drilled in the pumpkin top. Wood glue gives extra hold, so those stems aren't going anywhere. I finished them with a coat of shellac.
