Welcome to Me and You Creations where I share my grandmother’s gift of handmade crafting, with a dash of love, heart and joy to share with others.
As a stay-at-home mom and wife, I'm blessed to have a family that means everything to me. My 13-year-old daughter's passion for sports motivates me, and I'm grateful to be her biggest supporter, attending her events in our hometown of Douglas, Wy, and beyond. As she’s growing older, I'm excited to rediscover my own dreams and aspirations. My husband's love and encouragement empower me to pursue my passions, and our two fur babies bring much happiness to our family. I also enjoy reading, camping and music.
Me and You is a heartwarming phrase my husband and I have cherished every day since before our wedding 23 years ago, and now with our daughter, filling our lives with love. Our beautiful colors represent our family's love as they were our wedding colors.
I was blessed to have a grandmother who was an exceptionally talented crafter. I would watch her bring her creative visions to life and as I grew older we would craft and create memories together. Her remarkable talent, and generous spirit, inspired me to explore my own creativity. Years later, I would go on to meet my husband’s grandmother. Her kindness, creativity and dedication to her craft, reminded me so much of my own grandmother. Even though our grandmother’s are gone, I continue to find inspiration in crafting, knowing that it allows me to stay connected to the strong, creative women who helped shape my life and my daughter’s.
How it’s Made
Each centerpiece is thoughtfully handcrafted from start to finish, ensuring no two pieces are ever exactly alike. I begin with a solid natural wood slice base, which is lightly sanded and sealed to enhance the wood’s natural grain and rustic character.
From there, faux evergreen greenery and pinecones are carefully arranged by hand to create a balanced, organic design. Decorative heart accents are added for a subtle touch of warmth and romance. A clear glass hurricane candle holder is then securely placed and paired with an ivory pillar candle to complete the piece.
Every arrangement is assembled with attention to detail, creating a timeless rustic centerpiece designed to bring warmth and charm to your home or special event.
