Saint Benedict of Nursia is the Father of Western Monasticism. He vowed to live humbly, devoting his life to Jesus Christ. Black Onyx gemstones were selected for the Hail Mary beads to symbolize the black religious clothing of the Benedictine order. Matched with the needle-like inclusions of the black Rutilated Quartz for the Our Father beads, these gems provide a striking design for this rosary. The crucifix and centerpiece are nicely detailed with a Saint Benedict medal.
